Meet the Orthodontic Partners Leadership Team

Dr. Jeff Kozlowski, Founding Doctor

Dr. Jeff Kozlowski is esteemed for his unique perspective on quality orthodontic treatment results and clinical efficiency. A prominent lecturer, he has presented all over the world on topics including digital orthodontics, facial esthetics, efficient early treatment, orthodontic treatment mechanics and clinical efficiency. Dr. Kozlowski has been published in numerous orthodontic journals, including Seminars in Orthodontics, Journal of Clinical Orthodontics, Clinical Impressions and The Progressive Orthodontist. He is also the co-founder of OrthoFi, a company that helps orthodontists manage insurance and patient collections, while also providing a software as service solution to assist orthodontists in managing patient relationships and boosting starts.

Dr. Jamie Reynolds, Co-Founding Doctor

Dr. Jamie Reynolds is one of the nation’s leading voices on high-tech and accelerated orthodontics. A world-renowned speaker who is regularly interviewed by the media, he has been featured in US News and World Report, Health, Woman’s World Magazine and New York Daily News. Dr. Reynolds is the co-founder of OrthoFi, a company that helps orthodontists manage insurance and patient collections, while also providing a software as a service solution to assist with managing patient relationships and boosting starts. Dr. Reynolds is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and member of American Dental Association and the American Association of Orthodontists.

Dr. David Sarver, Founding Partner & Clinical Director

Dr. Sarver is an accomplished author who has worked to advance both the art and science of orthodontics. Widely respected for his book, Esthetic Orthodontics and Orthognathic Surgery, he has also co-authored the surgical text Contemporary Treatment of Dentofacial Deformity with Dr. Proffit and Dr. White, and co-authored the 4th and 5th editions of Proffit’s classic textbook, Contemporary Orthodontics. His most recent book is Dentofacial Esthetics: From Macro to Micro.

Dr. Sarver has given more than 400 professional presentations in the United States, Europe, Australia and the Middle and Far East. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, a member of the Edward H. Angle Society of Orthodontists and a Fellow in both the International and American Colleges of Dentists and the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry.

Dr. Maz Moshiri, Clinical Advisory Board Member, Head of Aligner Education

Dr. Maz Moshiri is an international lecturer and Ask the Expert speaker for Align Technology, the makers of Invisalign, and educates orthodontists on the proper use of the appliance. He is the co-founder of the Aligner Intensive Fellowship, an online residency that has educated thousands of doctors worldwide on the proper treatment planning and use of clear aligners.

Currently, he is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the orthodontic residency program at the Center for Advanced Dental Education at Saint Louis University. He manages the clear aligner curriculum and provides lectures on Invisalign. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics as well as a Fellow of the American College of Dentists, the International College of Dentists, and the Pierre Fauchard Academy.

Dr. Timothy Trulove, Clinical Advisory Board Member

Dr. Timothy Trulove has been a respected member of the orthodontic community in Alabama and beyond since receiving his Orthodontic Certificate and Master’s degree from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 1989. A board-certified orthodontist and esteemed adjunct professor, Dr. Trulove stays at the cutting edge of orthodontics through his work in the Department of Orthodontics at the University of Alabama School of Dentistry. In addition to being published in the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, Dr. Trulove has given presentations for professional orthodontic Organizations, including the American Association of Orthodontists, the Southern Association of Orthodontists, and the Edward H. Angle Society of Orthodontists. Committed not only to professional development organizations, Dr. Trulove believes in the power of public service and sits on various committees in his community. He currently serves as a staff orthodontist for the Children’s Rehabilitation Service, Cleft Palate Clinic, and previously served as President of the Angle Society.

Dr. Stuart Frost, Clinical Advisory Board Member

Dr. Frost is a thought-leader in the field of orthodontics, lecturer, consultant, and author of the book “ The Artist Orthodontist.”  His passion for creating beautiful, artistic smiles for his patients is only part of what makes him unique.  Dr. Frost is highly involved in the orthodontic industry, giving him a front-row seat to innovation, technology, and change within his field.  He has lectured throughout the US, Canada and in 35 different countries helping raise the level of orthodontics worldwide.

Dr. Nicole Wax, Clinical Advisory Board Member

Dr. Nicole Wax is known as the small town orthodontist because of where she grew up and where she practices in Michigan. She grew what has been termed “the fastest growing practice” because of her ability to be a visionary and lead her team with tremendous focus and passion. She has lectured around the country about some of her favorite topics which include marketing, goals, and growing teams, growing people, and growing strong leaders. One of her superpowers is identifying hidden areas of weakness, finding ways to overcome those, and strengthening the business in the aftermath.

Those that work closely to her describe her as “being supportive and instilling confidence,” “an individual who builds empires,” “drives people to be their best selves,” “brings energy, intensity and encourages individuals to be their best and accomplish more than they thought was possible.”

Dr. Todd Bovenizer, Clinical Advisory Board Member

Dr. Todd Bovenizer grew up in business: it was his father’s tireless work toward his independent family pharmacy in West Virginia, and his grandparents’ successful ownership of eight drugstores, that taught him the importance of customer service and an attention to detail. Hard work and an entrepreneurial spirit in his genes, Dr. Bovenizer set his startup orthodontic practice in a competitive area of Cary, North Carolina. Today, not only is he known by his peers as an Orthodontist CEO, but he is a board-certified doctor recognized for both the function and esthetics of his clinical outcomes. He lectures internationally on the Damon System of orthodontics. His practice is a sought-after destination for doctors to learn the Bovenizer approach, bringing in visitors monthly.

Chip Hurlburt, Chief Executive Officer

Prior to joining Orthodontic Partners, Chip served as CEO and President of National Heritage Academies, which has grown to become one of nation’s largest for-profit operators of K-8 charter schools in the United States. Before that, he spent 16 years in a number of leadership roles for Kaplan, Inc., including Divisional President for two different fast-growth businesses. During this time, Chip also was instrumental in building Kaplan’s healthcare education and training business for doctors, nurses and dentists. Chip holds a Bachelor of Science and MBA from Drexel University.

Peter Kosenko, Chief Financial Officer

Peter brings over 15 years of finance experience in healthcare and multi-location businesses to his role as Chief Financial Officer of Orthodontic Partners. Prior to joining Orthodontic Partners, Peter served as Chief Financial Officer for the Nevada and Arizona markets of US Anesthesia Partners. He has also served in financial leadership roles with DaVita Medical Group, Lowes and Office Depot. Peter received his M.B.A. from Kent State University and holds a B.A. in Accounting from the University of Mount Union.

Aldo Benedetto, Chief Operating Officer

With over 15 years of multisite healthcare experience, Aldo brings a unique perspective to Orthodontic Partners. Having worked not just in dentistry, but also in urgent care, optometry, and ophthalmology, Aldo pulls from his vast expertise when making marketing and operations decisions. Prior to joining Orthodontic Partners, Aldo developed and led marketing efforts as VP of Marketing at Benevis Practice Management. Under his guidance, the organization grew to more than 100 locations. Aldo has a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Florida and an MBA from Emory University.

Wylan Simpson, Chief Development Officer

Wylan Simpson is the Chief Development Officer at Orthodontic Partners. In this capacity, Wylan helps identify and onboard new partner practices. Previously, Wylan was a private equity investment professional with Hudson Advisors, where he focused on investing in roll-up and turnaround strategies in the middle market. Before joining Hudson, Wylan was a mergers and acquisitions investment banker with Wells Fargo Securities and Oppenheimer, with experience across diverse industries including multi-site healthcare. Wylan received a B.A. in Economics and minor in Computer Science from Tufts University.

Melissa Duncan, Senior Vice President, Human Resources

Melissa brings over 15 years of human resources experience to OP where she oversees strategy and execution for talent acquisition, talent development, HR technology, total rewards, HR Operations efforts, and employee engagement/experience in support of the organization’s extensive growth. Prior to joining OP, Melissa served as Head of Human Resources for ClearChoice Dental Implant Centers, where she successfully built a strategic HR function and oversaw a strategy that won the organization a Top Places to Work distinction.  Melissa previously led HR and talent strategies for real estate investment management firm Black Creek Group, and spent over 7 years with DaVita where she led HR, talent management and talent acquisition teams. Melissa began her career in healthcare retained executive search. She holds a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certificate and received a Bachelor of Science in Human and Organizational Development and a Master of Education in Organizational Leadership, both from Vanderbilt University.

Becky Page, Regional President of Operations

Becky Page is the Regional President of Operations for Orthodontic Partners and brings 30 years of orthodontic practice and leadership expertise to the organization. Prior to joining Orthodontic Partners, Becky began her career at one of the largest Dental Service Organizations, and spent nearly a decade at a Pediatric and Orthodontic DSO as the Director of Orthodontics. Under her leadership, the organization grew quickly from 4 to 60 Orthodontists and now serves about 100 locations across the country. Prior to her Regional President of Operations role with Orthodontic Partners, Becky served as the organization’s Vice President of Practice Transitions. Becky has held a number of front-line roles, including Scheduling Coordinator, Clinical Assistant (ortho and general), Treatment Coordinator, Purchasing, Office Manager, Regional Manager, Trainer, and Director of Transition Success.

Anne Sherman, VP Controller

Anne Sherman brings over thirty-five years of financial expertise as VP Controller of Orthodontic Partners. Most recently, Anne served as VP Controller of Blue Sky Vision, a management services company supporting Optometry and Ophthalmology practices in West Michigan. Prior to this, Anne served as Director of Finance and Accounting for National Heritage Academies charter schools, CFO for the Zondervan Corporation (a division of Harper Collins Publishers), and as a Consultant (where she assisted small and growing organizations with their Controller role). She earned her CPA certificate while working for Arthur Andersen & Co. Anne holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Western Michigan University.

Kevin Blair, Regional President of Operations

Kevin has over two decades of operational management experience, holding numerous operational and senior management roles throughout his career. With over eight years of multispecialty dentistry experience, Kevin brings a vast knowledge of the dental space, both on the general and specialty side. Before joining Orthodontic Partners, Kevin served as a Senior Director of Operations at American Dental Partners, where he partnered and led support for groups across the American Dental Partners portfolio. Kevin has a Bachelor of Science in Service Management from the University of Tennessee and an MBA from Maryville University in St. Louis.

Rob Huge, Vice President of Operations

Rob Huge is an experienced leader with a track record of transforming and scaling organizations. He’s demonstrated his expertise in operational excellence and data-driven decision-making during his two decades of leadership at Kaplan’s Higher Education, Professional and Test Prep Divisions. Rob specializes in leading complex operations, managing change effectively, and driving profitability through innovative processes and strategies. His background in education also brings a unique perspective to patient and employee training and development initiatives. Rob holds a BS Business Economics from Miami University.
