Summary of Position:

The Senior Cash Accountant oversees the monthly general ledger close and financial reporting processes to accurately reflect the company's cash position in compliance with company policies and GAAP. Primary responsibilities include managing bank account transfers and intercompany transactions, conducting comprehensive reconciliations, generating ad-hoc reports, and assisting management with cash flow forecasting.

Essential Job Function:

· Process, reconcile, and input the daily cash transactions from multiple locations.

· Perform bank reconciliations, coordinate the resolution of cash variances, and complete ad hoc cash reporting.

· Update and maintain the cash balance report and transfer funds between accounts as required by company policy.

· Reconcile customer deposits to the accounting system.

· Support timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close, including assigned journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, and overall maintenance of cash accounts.

· Assist in gathering documents and information for the annual audit.

· Interact with all departments at the Support Center and our Partner Practices.

· Assist with other aspects of month end close including analysis and review of various accounts.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Strong organizational skills; must be detail oriented and be able to multi-task.

· In-depth knowledge of bank account reconciliations.

· Experience researching cash variances and coordinating with multiple departments to resolve.

· Experience with merchant processor account reconciliations.

· Must have strong computer skills and high degree of efficiency with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and Pivot tables.

· Strong analytical abilities required.

Education and Experience

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Management or Finance required.

· Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience.

· Oracle NetSuite experience is a plus.

Key Performance Drivers: First 90 Days in Staff Accountant Role

· Understand OP’s cash account reconciliations and month-end close operations.

· Learn to navigate the various software related to cash to assist with research.

· Build relationships with our Partner Practices in order to resolve cash variances.

· Use knowledge base to assist with identifying opportunities for process improvement.
