Summary of Position:

The Payroll Associate plays an integral role in overseeing employee compensation and ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for Orthodontic Partners. The Payroll Associate helps maintain an efficient payroll process that complies with all federal and state regulations.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Administer payroll for several locations across multiple states (Currently 14 states and 70 practice locations, anticipate significant growth) within ADP Workforce Now system.
  • Provide support to practices/employees with payroll related inquiries.
  • Work closely with Human Resources regarding any payroll changes
  • Complete any documentation in a timely manner, such as garnishments or other payroll requests.
  • Assist with month end as related to payroll.
  • Conduct regular audits on payroll processes and records.
  • Assist with ad-hoc reporting for Finance and Operations as needed.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong customer service skills
  • Proficient in payroll systems, processes, and compliance across several states
  • Understanding of accounting principals
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, or similar software with emphasis in Excel
  • Excellent time management and organization skills
  • Very strong attention to detail

Education and Experience

  • ·Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, or Human Resources or related field.
  • 1- 3 years relevant experience in providing payroll services, compliance, and general issues related to employee compensation.
