The Role

Orthodontic Partners is seeking a Director of Finance to play a critical role in leadership of the finance team by supporting accurate financial forecasting, budgeting and reporting. This person will be responsible for supporting our Orthodontic Practices by providing financial support services including overall budgets, financial planning and forecasting. Reporting to the CFO, this role will work closely with the executive leadership team as well as lead a team of financial professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all financial planning and analysis, including forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
  • Comply with all audits and company policies.
  • Create company-wide budgets for a fiscal year.
  • Adhere to laws and regulations.
  • Manage a growing finance department.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Build and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts.
  • Advise on venture capital and private equity fundraising strategies.
  • Develop strategies to increase return on investment and profitability.
  • Lead a team of direct reports.
  • Present financial reports to executives.
  • Collaborate with the executives and directors to create budgets and track key performance indicators.
  • Knows and adheres to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) rules and regulations.

What Are We Looking For?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in finance, economics, accounting, business, or a related major required. MBA or a Master’s in Finance is a plus.
  • Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) and Chartered Financial Analysts (CFAs) are preferred.
  • At least 10 years in banking, investing, or accounting with a strong understanding and knowledge of financial forecasting and reporting is required.
  • Leadership experience managing direct reports and successfully leading a team.
  • Proficient with understanding and using FP&A software and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Expert level problem solver and analytical skills with an ability to take complex data and find key metrics.
  • A detailed and results oriented professional who excels at multi-tasking, organization, and time management.
