Summary of Position:

The Regional Manager role serves as a key partner in the management and support of all administrative and clinical functions within a region’s orthodontic practices. The Regional Manager is responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of the work within the assigned region’s practices. The Area Manager is also accountable for supporting the practices in their efforts to evolve in ways that benefit our patients and teams, as well as the practices’ financial health. The Area Manager should believe in and actively promote exceptional patient care.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Ensure the region’s orthodontic practices deliver quality and compassionate orthodontic care to every patient.
  • Work closely with the practice leadership team (Practice Managers, Clinical Leads, and Orthodontists) to ensure orthodontic programs are effectively managed, efficiencies are optimized, and that exceptional customer service standards are met.
  • Achieve financial performance targets such as revenue and collections.
  • Drive orthodontic team efficiencies by implementing best practices while managing operational budgets.
  • Support and advise on the staffing needs of the practices, including recruitment and onboarding.
  • Maintain awareness of market conditions in the region; recommend changes to deflect competitive pressures and/or to seize opportunities to capture greater markets.
  • Accountable for holding the practices to the highest integrity by adhering to all government regulations, industry standards, and company policies and procedures.
  • Communicate, train and coach team members on procedures and/or changes in processes.
  • Serve as the point of contact with supply representatives and service technicians; manage inventory within the assigned budgets.
  • Understand and effectively communicate techniques utilized in the Orthodontic field.
  • Implement and support the Orthodontic Partners Playbooks.
  • Partner with practice leadership to ensure all team members are trained to meet compliance and clinical standards, fit within the practice culture and Orthodontic Partner’s culture, and are provided opportunities to leverage best practices and collaborate with their peers in other Orthodontic Partner practices.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of Orthodontics, dental insurances, service limits, and financing options.
  • A passion and focus on exemplary customer service standards for our patients and team members.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Technology savvy, including strong Office suite skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative; considered a self-starter.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills; ability to organize work, engage in a variety of tasks simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Always conducts self in a professional manner and appearance.
  • Comfortable with providing feedback (positive and constructive) and managing through conflict.
  • Team Building skills; organizational and team development skills.
  • Well-developed critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of Managerial experience.
  • 3+ years of experience working in an Orthodontic setting required.
  • Basic P & L knowledge required.
  • Prior experience supporting multiple locations preferred.
  • Prior experience with OrthoFi or Ortho2 preferred.

Travel

  • Road warrior status – 75%
  • Travel will be both by airplane and by automobile.
