Position Summary:

The Manager of Accounts Payable plays a critical role in the development of processes and systems to support timely and accurate payment of vendors and other cash disbursements, accurate financial reporting, and provide support services to our Orthodontic Practices. The Manager of Accounts Payable actively participates in the management team in support of company objectives.

General Responsibilities and Duties:

· Manages the accounts payable department and processes in support of timely payments while providing an excellent customer experience for our practices, team members and vendors.

· Key leader in on-boarding recently acquired practices to OP’s payment processing systems including training, establishment of critical working relationships with practice managers, analytical review of transactions and organizational processes to ensure a smooth transition to OP platforms.

· Develops guidelines for proper processing and coding of vendor invoices to maintain general ledger expense accounts and accurate practice financial statements, while ensuring proper internal controls and adherence to company standards.

· Managing internal ERP system for AP processing as well as related AP automation processes through outside vendor and bank modules leading to timely and efficient processing of company transactions.

· Responsible for annual 1099 reporting including proper record retention and accumulation of W-9’s for tax compliance.

· Supports various company initiatives including annual company audit, processes in support of operational changes, continual process improvement and data for decision makers.

· Contribute to development of processes in support of growing organization

Minimum Job Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree with a major in Accounting.

· Ten years of progressive Accounts Payable experience, including a minimum of five years of supervisory experience.

· Experience with AP automation, process improvement, general ledger, and account reconciliation.

· Experience working with a multi-entity, multi-location organization a plus.

· Must be analytical, organized, and detail oriented with the ability to lead the department with appropriate systems and training tools.

· Possess ability to train and guide accounting team members as well as Managers in the clinical practices.

· Energized by the challenge of growing a successful business and the related support functions and structures.

· Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships within all levels of the organization.
